Ventures was really big in Japan, I lived there for awhile and know how popular they were among the Japanese people.

この動画は８ミリ撮影にLIVE IN JAPAN'72の音源を重ねてあるんだ。レーザーディスクの1966の映画BE LOVED INVADERSは、スティックの動きと音楽に差がありますが、ここまで違和感なく合わせられているのはお見事。 レコードでしか聴けなかったライブの映像が体験できて、最高の3分50秒です。ボブボーグルの代わりにジェリーマギーが参加して来日した1984年のライブはオリジナルメンバーというタイトルでレーザーディスクも発売されましたが、このメンバーこそがオリジナルメンバーであり、ノーキーもメルも円熟していて、第二期の絶頂期です。ノーキーのテレキャスターの歪んだ音がハードであり、この音源はDEEP PURPLEのLIVE IN JAPANに負けていません。

私もベンチャーズファンの一人でメル・ティーラーの影響でドラムを始め、社会人になってギター🎸とベースを独学で弾いてましたね!勿論加山雄三や寺内タケシも好きでしたからね✌️🤩

My favourite quitar group since they started and was lucky enough to see and hear them live in Winnipeg Manitoba a few years ago. Was an awesome experience where they played all the oldies of their careers that the audience well appreciated.

Mel Taylor was so rude in the store. He was touching everything and then throwing stuff back and then grabbing another, bitching about the price, etc. Typical drummer. lol

はじめまして。 私、3歳からベンチャーズファンです😊 1993年〜関東圏でオッカケをしていました。私にとって特にこの1994年〜のベンチャーズは最高と感じます。ドラムセットがPearl→DWへ変更、2部のスタートがアンプラグドへ様変わり…等、色々と変化がありましたね。 1993年〜期間限定となりますが、ジェリーさんのアンプがMarshallへ変更したのも最高でした😊

レコードや文献でのサントラ盤？での存在しか知らなかった『トリニ・ロペス・ショウ』！。その全貌だ！。気難しいロペスがベンチャーズを呼ぶ…ロペスがベンチャーズを気に入っていたんだろう。 素晴らしい動画！便利な時代になったもんだ。

Kayama-san wa ichiban desu! I love this song and his melting it with the Layla guitar rift was brilliant. It has been about 6+ years since I have been listening to this song and it never gets stale, I got his Greatest hits CD and his hit movie Eleki No Wakadaisho on DVD. If you have not seen this film be sure to check it out, Mite kudasai (please watch it) Rock on Kayama-san! My favorite Kayama-san song, it always makes me Happy, shiawase dan na!

Historic yeah but all you could hear was reverb & distortion as this fella hotrodded over everybody.

You can tell that General George Babbitt is having the time of his life, playing drums with the Ventures, and he’s still alive in 2024. Yes. This was a fantastic performance, and it was truly outstanding. Name one other rock band that has a four-star Air Force general in the lineup. You can’t. Don’t even try. This was once in a lifetime, and it was great!

今初めて聞きました。昭和44年の8月、大学1年の夏休み国道1号、名神、宇高連絡船で二日間かけて四国に入り、高松マリンパークで演奏しました。ビートルズ、ストーンズもやりましたが、インストは私がリードを取りました。一番人気があったのはブラック・サンド・ビーチでした。

京都慕情が、ジェリーさんのオリジナルと知ったときは、驚きました。ジェリーさんが、ベンチャーズに入る前に、ソロで来日していたときに、往年の歌手渡辺はま子さんの、支那の夜、という曲にインスパイアを得て、京都慕情を作曲したと、生前残されていました。

이런 장면들을 볼 때마다 미국이라는 나라가 부러워진다. 저런 것이 미국의 저력인가?
